Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport & Grand Sport X Unveiled: V8 Power Meets Hybrid Performance

Chevrolet, also known as Chevy, an American automobile manufacturer, has unveiled two new models under the Chevrolet Corvette lineup on March 26, 2026, which are Grand Sport and Grand Sport X. 

Production of these models is set to begin by mid-2026, with sales commencing in the second half of 2026. The prices for the Grand Sport and Grand Sport X are expected to be $95,000 and $100,000, respectively.

Powerstain & Performance 

The Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport comes with a 6.7L naturally aspirated LS6 V8 engine, which generates 535 hp power and 705 Nm torque. It features an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and the drivetrain is rear-wheel drive. The acceleration timing is expected to be under 3 seconds and the top speed around 320 km/h.

The Grand Sport X of the Chevrolet Corvette also features a 6.7L naturally aspirated LS6 V8 but with an electric motor, as it is hybrid. It generates 721 hp power and 800 Nm torque. The drivetrain is eAWD, and its transmission is 8-speed DCA for the rear and e-drive for the front. The acceleration timing will be within 2.5 seconds and top speed around 315 km/h.

Dimensions & Space

Detailed dimensions for the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport and Grand Sport X have not yet been officially released; however, it is expected that the vehicle will have a length of 4688 mm, a width of 2025 mm, a height of 1234 mm, and a wheelbase of 2722 mm, along with a ground clearance of 135 mm. 

Both of these models will feature a two-seater layout, much like a sporty cockpit with headroom, legroom, shoulder room, and hip room measuring 963 mm, 1087 mm, 1382 mm, and 1321 mm, respectively. The cargo space is expected to be approximately 356 liters, and it will also include a ‘frunk.’

The Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport and Grand Sport X will be based on the C8 mid-engine architecture, combining the Stingray’s clean styling with the Z06’s aggressive widebody; this signifies a design philosophy centered on aerodynamics and a track-ready stance.
