The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Base Premium launched on April 4, 2026, for the Indian market with an ex-showroom price of ₹1.50 lakh, and booking has started with its launch, and delivery may begin within two weeks from the date of launch. The on-road price in New Delhi is around ₹1.67 lakh; it is available also via the authorised dealership.
The launch of Base Premium has added a new variant to the Hunter 350; it is positioned above Base but under Metro. It is introduced with many upgrades to the base variant; they are:
- It features alloy wheels and tubeless tyres, which help in easier puncture repair and ensure better convenience.
- It gets a 54W halogen headlamp, which is quite bright and provides a clear view for the oncoming vehicle during the nighttime driving.
- It comes with a USB-C charging port that makes mobile charging handy.
- It is available in only black, which looks quite modern and aesthetic.
Powertrain & Performance
The powertrain remains the same as the base variant of the Hunter 350; it features a 349cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, J-series engine that generates the power of 20.2 hp at 6100 rpm and torque of 27 Nm at 4000 rpm, and the gearbox is 5-speed, featuring 1 down and 4 up.
The acceleration timing of 0 to 60 km/h is 5 seconds, which gives a smooth driving feel, and top speed goes up to 130 km/h, which is quiet for city driving as well as highway driving. Its ARAI-certified fuel efficiency is 36.2 kmpl, as it features a 13-litre tank; on a full tank, it gives a range of 470.5 km.
Wheels, Tyres & Brakes
It features 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres instead of spoke wheels in the base variant, which significantly improves handling. Tyres are tubeless; the front is 100/80 and the rear is 120/80. Its advantages are that a puncture doesn’t deflate instantly, it provides better fuel efficiency and it is good for city riding.
The front brake is a 300 mm disc which provides strong braking power and uses a calliper and disc system, and the rear is a 153 mm drum which provides a basic braking system and is less powerful than a disc. It does have an anti-lock braking system, which prevents wheel lock during sudden braking and improves control on slippery roads.
Chassis & Platform
It is built on the J-series architecture platform that features twin downtube spine frames; as the engine sits inside this frame, it gives strength and balance and better weight distribution that improves handling and features a compact design which makes city manoeuvring easy.
The front suspension is telescopic forks that absorb shocks from bumps, potholes, and speed breakers; and the rear suspension features twin shock absorbers which are preload adjustable. Its advantages are that it is quite strong and durable, can adjust for weight and load and is suitable for city riding.
Dimensions & Space
The length of 2055 mm makes it a compact bike, which can be easily handled in traffic. A width of 810 mm helps in filtering through tight spaces. Height of features, low overall stance that gives confidence for beginners. The wheelbase of 1370 mm provides quick turning and agile handling.
The ground clearance of 160 mm handles speed breakers easily and makes it suitable for Indian roads. The seat height of 790 mm gives a comfortable riding position for short riders and provides better control in traffic.
Features & Technology
It has a semi-digital console, which includes an analogue speedometer and digital screen that shows fuel, trip, ODO and service reminder. It also features a tripper navigation system and Bluetooth-based turn-by-turn navigation.
It comes with a USB Type-C charging port, which helps in charging the smartphone while riding and is useful for navigation and long rides. The halogen headlight and LED tail lamp provide good visibility and classic styling.
