Upcoming Sub-4 Metre Hybrid Cars In India: Budget-Friendly Hybrids Under ₹15 Lakh

In the next two years we are going to witness the launch of five new sub-4-metre hybrid cars in India. After the electric vehicle, the hybrid is the most sustainable mode of mobility. As of now, many hybrid cars are available in the Indian market, but they are costly, but upcoming ones are quite affordable.

The launch of hybrid cars for the Indian market will take place between late 2026 and early 2027 from the different automakers. The list of the upcoming hybrid cars in India includes the Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid, Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor Hybrid, Mahindra Vision S Hybrid, Renault Bridger Hybrid and Nissan Bridger-Based Hybrid.

It is set to come with a 1.2 litre turbo petrol engine with two motors; one is mounted with the front wheels and another with the rears. It is set to feature an AWD drivetrain, and the transmission is single-speed automatic. It is going to be an off-roading SUV with a bold and muscular stance, and it will feature a high ground so it can move on rough terrain easily.

Renault Bridger Hybrid

The Bridger Hybrid from Renault will be introduced most probably in mid-2027, as production is expected to start in late-2026. In the Indian market, it may be available with the ex-showroom price from ₹10 to ₹15 lakh. It is going to be a boxy SUV on RGML platform with a spacious cabin that features high-tech and smart features for occupants’ comfort and convenience.

We are expecting that its ex-showroom price will start from ₹9 lakh and go up to ₹13 lakh, depending on the variant; it is also built on RGMP (Renault Global Modular Platform).

The engine option will be a 1.2-litre petrol with a front-axle-mounted motor that features a FWD drivetrain. It will give smooth and refined driving and features a long range compared to its ICE variant.
