The SAIC GM Wuling Automobile Company Limited has patented the Wuling Starlight 560, and the important thing to note is that it doesn’t have Wuling badging. Reports suggest that it be introduced to the Indian market under the banner of MG Motor India.
As the Wuling Starlight 560 is set to make its Indian debut under MG Motor India, it is likely to be named the MG Starlight 560. The design of the patented vehicle closely matches the Starlight 560 that is available for sale in the international market.
The launch date for the India isn’t confirmed by the automakers, but reports suggest that its Indian debut will happen in August 2026. In the international market, it is available as PHEV and EV; the one expected to launch in India is likely to be the PHEV because the patented vehicle is closer to the PHEV version.
The debut of the MG Starlight 560’s PHEV version will rival the Mahindra XUV 7XO and Tata Safari, and if the EV version is also introduced to the Indian market, it will compete with the Mahindra XEV 9S. Here, we have discussed all you need to know.
