After launching its electric cars in the Indian market, the Vietnamese automaker VinFast is now gearing up to launch its electric scooters. In the financial year 2027, we can expect to see three electric scooters from VinFast: the Evo, Feliz 2, and Viper.
None of these three electric scooter models will be manufactured in India; instead, they will be imported from Vietnam in CKD (Completely Knocked Down) form. These units will then be assembled at the manufacturing facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, before being made available for sale.
VinFast’s future plan involves eventually manufacturing these electric scooters right here in India. The three electric scooters slated to arrive in India will feature battery-swapping technology. Here’s a detailed look at these upcoming models.
VinFast’s Upcoming Electric Scooters in India
The Evo, Feliz 2, and Viper by VinFast will be powered by lithium iron phosphate batteries, and their motors will be integrated into the centre of the wheel, aimed at meeting the needs of daily urban commuting.
All three of these VinFast electric scooters will feature two battery compartments located beneath the seat, each with a capacity of 1.5 kWh, meaning the total battery capacity for all three scooters will be 3 kWh.
The specifications and features of these three electric scooters from VinFast are expected to be identical to those of the Evo, Feliz 2, and Viper models currently being sold in the Vietnamese market; a detailed discussion regarding them is shared below.
VinFast Evo

It features a 2,450 W in-hub motor and, powered by two 1.5 kWh LFP batteries, offers a maximum range of 165 kilometres on a full charge. It is not particularly heavy; weighing in at just 86 kg, it is easily manoeuvrable.
Its suspension system features telescopic forks at the front and spring shock absorbers at the rear, delivering a completely smooth and noise-free riding experience. While the entry-level variant comes with drum brakes, the top-end model is equipped with disc brakes.
It boasts a top speed of 70 km/h, with an acceleration time of 15 to 17 seconds to go from 0-50 km/h, and is expected to be available at a highly affordable price point, with its cost anticipated to hover around ₹84,000.
VinFast Feliz II

Much like the Evo, this model is also powered by a 3,000 W BLDC hub motor. It features two 1.5 kWh batteries and boasts a top speed of 70 km/h; however, its range is limited to just 156 kilometres.
Its suspension comprises telescopic hydraulic forks at the front and dual springs at the rear, which delivers a smooth riding experience, even when traversing rough terrain. The kerb weight is 98 kg; it is not overly heavy and is therefore easy to control.
The standout feature of this electric scooter is that it comes equipped with an LED projector headlamp and LED indicators; features such as regenerative braking and a digital instrument cluster lend it a modern appeal.
VinFast Viper

Like the Evo and Feliz II, this model also comes equipped with two 1.5 kWh batteries. When fully charged, it offers a range of 156 kilometres, and its top speed is capped at a maximum of 70 km/h.
In terms of acceleration, reaching a speed of 0 to 50 kilometres per hour is slightly faster than the first two models, taking 14 to 15 seconds. It also features a decent amount of boot space, allowing you to easily carry small bags.
It features amenities such as a TFT display, an LED projector headlamp, and a smart key, which give it a distinctly stylish and sporty appearance. Its braking system consists of a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear.
